The Void that creates Space
I am not perfect.
And I never will be.
It’s an idea my perfectionist side — the one that learned it always had to be validated and appreciated — still struggles to integrate.
And yet, since I’ve been staying true to myself, to what I need, to how I feel, since I’ve been setting clear boundaries based on where I am… people who don’t understand it leave. Yes, it hurts.
But others — the ones I thought wouldn’t understand, the ones I feared would walk away, the ones for whom I kept masks that were hurting me — those are the people who are changing the most. Not only in how they relate to me, but in how they see their own lives, their priorities, and who they trust.
It seems that internal coherence has two sides:
those who are not aligned with you drift away, because they only needed the version of you that suited them;
and those who stay, who accept this new version of you, grow alongside you — inspired by your coherence (or at least your attempt at coherence).
And many new people have appeared.
There was a void, yes.
A feeling of loneliness.
A fear that I would end up confirming what everyone says.
But no.
Yesterday I had a call, and this topic came up.
What a pity that we don’t always live surrounded by people aligned with our priorities, our interests, our way of feeling. And yes, it would be nourishing.
But at the same time, I feel it was necessary for me to experience that it is possible — to find people who think and feel like I do, who dream of a better world and are willing to ask uncomfortable questions and visit dark inner spaces to create light together.
And we are doing it.
I’m so grateful for that conversation in Tenerife, where I felt it clearly:
This is the kind of people I want to talk to and grow with.
We gather from the USA, Germany and Spain.
And thanks to them, my life has changed.
